Abstract :
A brief description of the extended decomposition-simulation approach is presented. An algorithm is then described for generating unit planned outage modeling in the extended decomposition-simulation approach for multiarea reliability calculations. The algorithm is based on a single-step decomposition of the state space and greatly reduces the computational requirements of the approach while producing accurate results. System studies are presented to illustrate the use of the algorithm
