As closure to the comments on the original paper "A New Protection Scheme for Fault Detection, Direction Discrimination, Classification, and Location in Transmission Lines" (see ibid., vol. 17, p.43-42, 2003) by the discusser, M. Sanaye-Pasand (see ibid., vol.18, no.2, p.652-3, 2003), the authors thank the discusser for his interest in their paper, and for his valuable and constructive comments. They first offer comments of a general nature, and then respond to questions in the order asked.
