Abstract :
The performance of the iterative alternating-direction implicit finite-difference time-domain (ADI-FDTD) method is studied. By interpreting the ADI-FDTD method as an iterative solver for the Crank-Nicolson scheme, we present analytical results of its convergence rate. Numerical examples further to demonstrate the performance of different variants of the iterative ADI-FDTD method.
