Abstract
One of the sources of inaccuracy due to finite word length Implementation of digital filters is the multiplication roundoff noise. In this paper, two new approaches are outlined and illustrated for the calculation of this noise, by using digital all-pass functions as the basis. Both of these methods are shown to have computational advantages over the conventional ones.
