Abstract :
The application of classical synthetic testing methods to powerfull generator circuit breakers (GCB´s) which are equipped with alow ohmic parallel resistor is strongly limited since an extremly high energy supply by the circuit´s source capacitor bank is required. This capacitor bank has to be of a size usually not available in ahigh power testing station.
