Abstract :
Welcome to the first issue of the year 2009 of the IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials (ComST). Papers in this issue survey the research effort in several areas such as security, indoor positioning systems, routing, interdomain communications, Ethernet forwarding and cognitive radio.
