Abstract :
Electrical energy of a rather small isolated source in vicinity of an HVDC line may be transmitted via the same line by application of a series tapping station. For such purposes, a diode rectifier series tap, which offers considerable savings as well as a high degree of reliability, is proposed and discussed in this paper.
