Title :
Power Line Carrier Experience on the Vancouver Island HVDC Tie

Abstract :
Noise from an HVDC converter station prevented satisfactory operation of a power line carrier system coupled between ground and a low voltage dc neutral transmission line leaving the station. The author presents noise spectrum measurements of the noise which originates from the HVDC neutral bus. A "T" type of wave trap is described which prevents the noise on the HVDC neutral bus from being transmitted to the low voltage dc neutral transmission line.
