Abstract :
The knowledge of the striking distance of a lightning stroke is essential in assessing the lightning performance of an overhead power line. The authors examine the effects of various line and lightning parameters on the striking distance and identify the significant ones. These significant parameters are studied to predict the striking distance accurately
