Abstract
A radio broadcast station should provide satisfactory reception to as many homes as possible. Most of the engineering considerations which determine the station´s performance may be treated analytically. However, ability to serve a large audience is greatly affected by the excellence of the transmitter location selected, and this selection must be governed by experience with intangibles not subject to calculation. In the present article, various factors affecting the choice of a suitable transmitter site are discussed and general recommendations are given.
