Abstract
The steady-oscillation amplitudes are determined for a strongly nonlinear two-parameter oscillator by an asymptotic method. The considered differential equation is the Scott-Murata equation, which was derived by a generalization of the van der Pol equation. Correspondently, the limit cycle has been also determined, either analytically or by direct numerical integration of the differential equation, for a wide set of parameters.
