Abstract :
A simple and rapid method for designing and analyzing regular, multimeshed rectangular grounding grids is presented. The procedure is based on an extension of principles enunciated in IEEE Standard 80 dated June 30, 1976. By this method, using an engineering type pocket calculator, touch potentials can be determined in a few minutes for any given set of dimensions, resistivity, and fault current.
