Abstract :
A statistical model for the colour variation of pixels contained in a uniform colour region of an image is proposed. A comparison of the colour transformations is performed using the correlation measure between colour axes. The result shows that the best transformation is the variable KL (Karhunen-Loeve) transformation of the colour model or its modifications
