Abstract :
Low-power chip-to-chip communication circuits for CMOS digital chips using the current-mode approach are presented. The circuits are based on the use of current direction to represent the logic values and stabilisation of the potential of communicating pads. Measurement results reveal that a power saving of 40 times is achievable
