  • Abstract
The multimode behavior of coupled nonlinear oscillators is affected by time delays in the coupling paths. When the level of nonlinearity in the unit oscillators increases, analysis of the mode behavior must include harmonic terms as well as the fundamental component. This reveals a jump phenomenon in the stable single modes as the delay times are increased. This phenomenon has been confirmed via digital simulation.
