Abstract :
In passive all-pass networks, the result of using components having finite Q is the appearance of notches in the frequency response, and an increase in the height of the delay peaks. Better designs can be obtained by, first, using predistortion to position the transmission zeros, and, second, by restoring the all-pass property with bump equalizers. Complete formulas are given.
