Abstract :
Although first generation central receiver solar power plant concepts have water-cooled receivers, sodium-cooling promises greater operating flexibility, higher efficiency and, most importantly, lower cost. This paper describes a parametric analysis performed to determine the most promising sodium-cooled plant configuration.
