Abstract
The scramjet combustor experimental facility with resistance heater in Northwest Polytechnical University (NWPU) is introduced in the paper. The characteristic and operation parameter of the facility are shown. The preliminary test results of the hydrogen-fueled, ethylene-fueled and kerosene-fueled ignition for scramjet combustor model are given for different equivalence ratios, with combustor entrance total temperature about 1000K, Mach number 2.0, total pressure 0.8MPa. Successful ignition and sustained main stream combustion is achieved with normal fuel injection upstream of a cavity. The wall pressure of combustor model, fuel injection pressure, total pressure and total temperature in facility nozzle inlet are measured. The video records of the flame zone in combustor exit are shown.
