Abstract
This letter outlines the use of transmultiplexer frequency domain filtering for equalization of single user direct sequence spread spectrum communications and derives the minimum mean square error weight vector. Simulation results confirm that for a slowly fading channel, performance similar to other frequency domain equalizers and superior to maximal ratio Rake combining can be achieved with this technique. The transmultiplexer solution also has the advantage of being particularly suited to the mitigation of narrowband interference
