Abstract
The averages of the product of two Gaussian Q-functions over the Nakagami-m and the Rician fading distributions are evaluated. The results obtained are applied to deriving closed-form bounds on the average bit error probability for a variety of single channel, partially coherent, differential and quadratic detections
