Abstract :
A new video service is proposed. The system utilizes a directory server featuring image retrieval for a specific sequence of a video stream of a baseball game designated by a specific customer. A number of pitching shots, used as the keys to retrieve the desired baseball game scenes, are stored in the index table of the directory server. An index table consisting of a number of sets of start and stop time codes, which specify the playing time spans for a number of continuous pitching shots, is used for the retrieval. The video board with a transaction function is used to respond to the request from a user terminal and to transfer the video stream specified by the user. When the customer at the user terminal specifies a cue to start, the designated video stream can appear on the user terminal.
