Abstract :
This paper proposes a hardware-efficient equalizer initialization algorithm. The algorithm stems from the author´s work on a broadband wireless home networking ASIC based on IEEE 802.11a/HIPERLAN/2 standards. It can also be relevant for other transmission systems that use orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM).
