Abstract :
The choice of the weighting function is an important factor in delay equilization. This paper presents a numerical approach to find the weighting function that yields a delay that is optimum in the sense of minimizing the power in echoes produced by a nearly equiripple (least squares) or equiripple (minimax) delay function. The approach employs a line search to find the optimum weighting function and the corresponding all-pass sections parameters.
