Abstract :
In this paper, a non-conventional approach to the stability analysis of a microgrid is outlined. Instead of using prevalent small-signal analysis based approaches, with predictions typically limited to the vicinity of the equilibrium, the outlined approach provides a sense of global/semi-global stability. This methodology, based on polynomial Lyapunov function based approach, is outlined below. Effectiveness of the approach are demonstrated using couple of case studies.
