Abstract :
A systematic method of designing electrical sequential circuits for industrial machine control is presented. A clear set of rules has been laid down for the method, with the result that a circuit can be designed on a step by step basis without much mental effort. The method is simple to understand, easy to apply, and presents a very economical and reliable solution to a large proportion of the sequencing problems. Sequences of any type and length can be designed in a similar manner without undue complexity. The resulting control circuits bear a modular structure, and are therefore easy to construct, connect, and troubleshoot.
