Abstract :
Some necessary and sufficient conditions are given for stability analysis of two-dimensional (2-D) systems based on a Lyapunov approach. The study was carried out using the Roesser state-space model, which when combined with the Lyapunov theory provides the new checkable tests for stability. Also, the results lead to techniques for selecting stabilizing state feedback gain matrices for the 2-D systems.
