Abstract :
This paper presents a novel realization method for twodimensional digital filters based on well-known transforms (Discrete Fourier, Walsh-Hadamard, etc). The method proposed results in realizations which have parallel structure and high throughput rates. It is shown that such realizations are suitable for the VLSI implementation. The noise characteristics of such realizations are also considered.
