Abstract :
Walsh functions are used to characterize the operation of linear sequential circuits. The state and output equations of a linear sequential circuit are converted into recursive matrix equations over the reals that are conceptually simple. This characterization provides an easy way to determine the output statistics for a stochastic input. A noisy environment is simulated by a dyadically additive error process that facilitates the analysis of output error probabilities. A numerical example is given.
