Abstract :
The total phase measured from a polarisation-diversity radar is the sum of differential propagation phase and backscatter phase. An algorithm is presented to obtain differential propagation phase from the total phase by separating the backscatter phase. This algorithm is independent of raindrop size distribution and frequency.
