Abstract :
Solar energy is one of the most promising sources of energy for the future energy scenario. Being clean and renewable energy source, a lot of research is happening across the world in the solar energy sector. Solar photovoltaic is considered to be the best means of tapping solar energy. Power electronics is considered to be the key driving technology for harvesting energy from solar photovoltaic. In this paper, an efficient energy conversion scheme for a stand-alone solar photovoltaic power plant is presented with details on control schemes. Simulation studies and test results on laboratory proto unit are also presented.
