Abstract :
In this letter, an alternate and simpler method for testing the stability of a class of distributed parameter systems with delays, other than the one proposed by Öztüirk and Uraz [1], is introduced. By introducing an additional simple condition, one can reduce the order of the polynomials to be checked for stability by using a transformation of half the degree than in [1]. Furthermore, an alternate method for testing root exclusion in a sector is discussed.
