            Abstract : 
A family of stochastic approximation variants of the Steiglitz-McBride identification scheme [1]-[3] is developed for adaptive IIR filtering. Parameter convergence is shown by computer simulation. An interesting phenomenon, global convergence regardless of local minima, is observed.
