Abstract :
An important problem in the design of digital communication systems is the synthesis of a Nyquist channel filter which minimizes intersymbol interference in the transmission of data [l]. This contribution gives a simple design technique for FIR digital pulse shaping filters with linear phase, zero intersymbol interference and arbitrarily flat passbands, with any desired selectivity. The algorithm employs algebraic constraints in the frequency and time domains simultaneously.
