Abstract :
A widely tunable laser, consisting of a 100 GHz FSR triple-ring resonator and a semiconductor optical amplifier, is presented. The 100 GHz FSR ring resonator makes it possible to demonstrate 96 nm wavelength tuning with stable single-mode operation produced by a large threshold gain difference
