Abstract
The myriad of process lines which exist in the textile industry have been monitored and controlled for many years by conventional controls. Now programmable controllers are being employed to control the critical functions of these process lines. But few if any of these applications of programmable controllers have approached full utilization of the power of these devices. Applications which yield greater benefits by expanding the scope of programmable control for process lines are presented.
