Abstract
The commenter makes reference to a correspondence by T. Raut, W.J. Stennart, and G.I. Costache (ibid., vol.30, no.1, p.88-9, 1988) in which they propose a method of minimizing the radiated fields from printed wiring boards. The method involves balancing the ratio of the width of the printed wiring trace W and thickness of the printed wiring board (PWB) dielectric S. The commenter claims that this method is much too difficult (if not impossible) and costly to implement in practice.<>
