Abstract :
The author briefly describes the use of PCs equipped with touch sensitive screens at inspection stations for visual inspection of PCBs during manufacture. Visual product images, together with a simple dialogue, are used to provide inspectors with an instant and intuitive means of classifying and identifying fault information. Once so captured, the data may be correlated with other process information and made immediately available for corrective action
