Abstract
The detailed design and the analysis of a simple, accurate, and inexpensive linear scale ohmmeter are presented. The accuracy of measurement by the new ohmmeter is within ±1 percent in the range 10-1-106 ¿, ±2 percent at 10 M¿, and ±10 percent at 100 M¿. Unlike most other conventional megohmmeters, this operates with low voltage across the sample and does not require the use of a high input impedance voltmeter. The new circuit exhibits good operational stability.
