Abstract :
An optimal feedback control scheme is suggested and investigated analytically in order to suppress the stochastic voltampere reactive (VAR) fluctuations in the arc furnaces. It has been verified that this control scheme is effective and efficient compared with the proportional, integral, and differential (PID) feedforward control scheme through several simulation studies.
