Abstract
The National Electrical Code (NEC) has been significantly revised over the past decade, particularly where it pertains to industrial occupancies. New cable constructions have been added, and requirements and applications for existing cables have been changed. A reference is provided for the various cable types available for low-voltage power-limited circuits, 600-V power and control, and medium-voltage power cables (2001-35 000 V). The installation requirements for direct burial and hazardous locations are specifically covered as well as general industrial installations.
