Abstract
This paper describes a slow-scan vidicon camera and reports applieations in the field of picture processing and representation of luminescence spectra. A PDP 8/I small computer, interfaced to the camera, collects and stores the data under software control. The picture is decomposed in 256 Ã 256 elements which are digitally processed. Weak signals from static images can be integrated during prolonged periods. Programs for the display of pictorial and spectral information have been written.
