  • Abstract
    Slant estimation is an indispensable technique for handwriting analysis. A novel method is proposed for slant estimation based on the average inclination of the Zernike reconstructed images for low moments. This method improves the linearity of the characteristic curve in comparison with a generalised chain code method.
