Abstract :
During the analysis of field problems with the finite-element method (FEM), the manner in which the domain is meshed will affect the computer storage requirements, the computation time, and the accuracy of the numerical results. In this paper, local error estimation and strategic mesh generation have been used to minimize tasks involved when computing time-dependent problems in electromagnetics coupled with heat conduction. The FEM basis interpolation functions used are linear.
