Abstract :
Discusses the solution of problems and teaching undergraduates. The solution, like the problems, could range from the simple to the complex. The most important thing as to remember to look at the problem from different perspectives to make sure the solution offered represented the best technical answer for the most cost-effective investment. The most elegant solution may not be the best; advice is given to always try for simplicity if possible. Simple solutions can frequently provide success in terms of cost, time, and effect. The author discusses the role of imagination, innovation and invention (the three I´s) in this field
