Abstract :
To analyze the behavior of the peaks of the reversible transverse susceptibility, magnetic interparticle interactions are included with a mean field approximation, and the orientation of media is described with a texture function that had independent in-plane and out-of-plane distributions. In contrast to the noninteracting models, it is found that the peaks at ±Hk can be suppressed at a strong interaction strength and the peak at Hc critically depends on both the orientation of the media and the coupling strength. Calculated results indicate that the determination of anisotropy constants from the peak positions of transverse susceptibility is only valid in weakly interacting particulate media
