Radio progress during 1940

This summary of progress during 1940 covers, in general, the period up to the first of November. It is based on material prepared by members of the 1940 Annual Review Committee of the Institute of Radio Engineers with the collaboration of the Institute´s 1940 Public Relations Committee. The final editing and coordinating of the material and the preparation of the introductory section in behalf of the Annual Review Committee. Individual reports are presented on the following special fields: Electronics, Transmitters and Antennas; Radio Receivers; Frequency Modulation; Television; Facsimile Electroacoustics; and Wave Propagation.
