Abstract
This paper presents the application of advanced regression models for analysis of the outage performance of transmission units (lines). The method is illustrated by an analysis of Commonwealth Edison Company´s 345 kV transmission line outage data. Based on such analysis, the future performance of individual and multiple lines can be predicted for use in bulk transmission system reliability evaluation.
