Abstract :
Permeability measurements are reported on Co- and Fe-based amorphous thin wires up to GHz frequencies. A simple model is proposed to account for the gyromagnetic permeability, based on former observation of the domain configuration of Co-based wires. When skin effect is taken into account, this model leads to rather good agreement with measurements. The difference in high frequency behaviour between Co- and Fe-based wires is discussed
