Abstract :
We have formulated the operation of a drop-on circulator in which a ferrite disc is directly placed on top of a dielectric substrate. The cavity model has been applied both to the ferrite disc and the dielectric region below and around the ferrite disc. Three circulators were fabricated using design parameters calculated by our theory. The measurements are in reasonable agreement with predicted performance of the device
