Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the fundamental aspects of vortex magnetic separation reported before. Those factors such as the applied magnetic field H0, slurry velocity V0 and matrix design, which are significant parameters in HGMS play important roles in VMS and lead to, under certain conditions, high selectivity and high output. A process model of vortex magnetic separation is presented
